Early Monday morning a car accident occurred at a bridge over north-south Highway 6, injuring 17 people, some seriously. MDA paramedics arrived at the scene and evacuated the injured to four different nearby hospitals. This deadly accident is one of several to occur since the weekend, as winter weather suddenly falls on Israel, with heavy rains and strong wind. While rain is a blessing, it comes with unique risks, especially in a country like Israel where annual rainfall is minimal. Every year, sudden rainfall leads to fatalities on the roads. Please pray that Israeli utilities such as drainage will hold under the sudden pressure. Please pray for healing for those injured and for wisdom for the doctors caring for them.
