Turkey & Israel Resume Relations

Turkey & Israel are resuming full diplomatic relations. Prime Minister Yair Lapid  spoke with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after the two countries made the announcement. The two leaders emphasized the great importance of Israeli-Turkish relations “for maintaining regional stability.” Relations between the two countries have been strained and icy for the past few years, and in 2018, Turkey recalled its ambassador from Tel Aviv. Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stressed that despite the normalization of ties with Israel, Ankara is “not giving up on the Palestinian cause.” Please pray that this relationship between Israel and Turkey will be mutually beneficial to both peoples. Please also pray that Turkey will be a more active participant in preventing terror to take hold in the Middle East. Lastly, please pray for more developments like this between Israel and other Muslim countries throughout the world.
