A terrorist injured a father and two of his daughters in a shooting attack near the Israeli settlement of Tekoa outside Jerusalem. The man’s injuries were serious, but he is conscious and in stable condition, according to the hospital. Flying shrapnel injured his daughters; however, their condition is mild. The IDF has located the terrorist, who fled after the attack.

The regional head of the area around Tekoa released a statement saying that the attack was one of the first in the area in many years. Hamas also referenced this fact, commending the terrorist’s ability to “surprise” Israel.

The attack occurred as the Palestinian Authority and Hamas consider forming a unity government that would unite Gaza, Judea and Samaria for the first time since 2019. The success of this venture depends largely upon Egyptian pressure.
