Tensions with Lebanon are high after talks on the maritime gas field dispute stalled. Defense Minister Benny Gantz instructed the military to increase operational readiness in the country’s north along the shared border with Lebanon. At the center of the dispute is the maritime border between Israel and Lebanon, and the disputed gas field in the Mediterranean.
