After a long period of quiet, Hamas fired projectiles into southern Israel over the weekend. To date, Hamas indiscriminately fired 40 rockets over the past four days. Four people were lightly hurt while running for bomb shelters, including a heavily pregnant woman who was hospitalized for observation. Israel responded by attacking rocket launchers in the Gaza Strip and closed the fishing enclave off the Gaza coast. Hamas claims they were retaliating against Israel’s crackdown over recent days due to violence between Arab and Jewish Israelis in the Ramadan holiday. Please pray for an immediate end to the rocket attacks. Please also pray for calm in the remaining days of Ramadan. Lastly, please pray that Israel will find a viable solution to stop these rocket attacks once and for all.
