Monday, following a bloody Passover weekend in which three Israelis lost their lives to terror, thousands of Israelis marched to the evacuated Samarian settlement of Evyatar. Those marching, who include 7 government ministers, hope to communicate the message that despite terror and loss, Israelis will not be intimidated; settlement will continue in Judea and Samaria. The march also hopes to secure a promise from the government to move forward on resettling Evyatar, a commitment made by former prime minister Naphtali Bennet.
While the march is a powerful response to terror, many have raised concerns. Firstly, it diverts security forces from other tasks in the area, including locating the terrorists responsible for the murders of the two settler sisters Friday. Additionally, many are concerned that the march is provocative and could complicate the security situation in Judea and Samaria further.
Please pray for safety for those marching and for security forces stationed at the march. Please pray for no further escalation of the already-tense situation. Lastly, please continue to pray for those wounded in terror attacks over the weekend and for the IDF to apprehend the terrorists responsible.
