Some Israeli elementary schools reinstated the mask mandate after numerous outbreaks of the coronavirus among children. In a town in northern Israel, over 46 new cases have been detected after a family had returned from abroad. This comes despite regulations of required coronavirus testing upon return, and a mandatory isolation period of anyone unvaccinated. The Health Ministry is concerned that the highly contagious “delta” variant from India is responsible for this outbreak. Please pray for a full recovery for the infected children. Please also pray for wisdom for Israeli officials as they continue to face difficult decisions in this dynamic situation. Lastly, please pray that people will adhere to the Health Ministry’s guidelines in order to prevent more outbreaks.
