Already by Sunday morning, there have been two attempted attacks on Israelis. Early Sunday morning, an Israeli soldier was stabbed near the Central Bus Station in Jerusalem. The 21-year old was stabbed in his upper body and pedestrians tried to take care of him until the paramedics arrived. The attacker was apprehended by a security guard until the police arrived and arrested him. A few hours later, a Palestinian woman was arrested for trying to stab a security guard at the gate of a settlement in Judea and Samaria.
“On Saturday, a Palestinian terrorist carried out a car-ramming attack on troops manning a checkpoint near Hawara, south of Nablus and was shot dead by soldiers. One soldier was lightly wounded in the leg in the attack. Earlier in the day, a 26-year-old Palestinian man was shot and killed by police in Jerusalem’s Tzahal Square opposite the Old City, after charging two officers with a knife,” according to Jerusalem Post. http://www.jpost.com/Arab-Israeli-Conflict/Terror-stabbing-reported-in-Jerusalem-438532
On Friday evening there was another attempted car ramming attack by a Palestinian motorist. He was shot dead by the Border police officers in Judea and Samaria.
Just as some start to think that the attacks have subsided, we see another influx of attempted killings. This is a difficult situation for the Israeli government and security forces when trying to figure out how to prevent the “lone wolf” attacks, which is why prayer is our best tool. It times when we don’t know how to prevent attacks from the enemy, it makes us lean even more on the Lord for protection and direction. We pray that this difficult times will draw the people of Israel closer to God and a desire to seek His face. Please pray with us for His hand of protection and safety for the nation of Israel.
