Purim

Israelis celebrate the festive holiday of Purim! This holiday commemorates Queen Esther’s bravery to speak up and save the Jewish people in ancient Persia. Children and adults alike dress up in costumes, and enjoy tasty “oznei haman” cookies (also known as “Hamantaschen”). This year’s festivities have been dampened against the backdrop of war in Ukraine, but we can always remember God’s faithfulness to the Jewish people throughout the ages no matter what! Please pray for safe and peaceful celebrations. Please also pray for Ukrainian refugees in Israel, that this holiday will hold some joy for them despite their difficult situations.
