Prayer Focus: Standing in the Gap

“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night.” Isaiah 62:6

This Week's Urgent Prayer Needs

• Pray for Israel’s Northern Front as Hezbollah remains armed and active and continues to receive support through financial networks connected to Iran and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Pray that the new American sanctions and efforts to disrupt Hezbollah’s funding would succeed in weakening its ability to rebuild its military capabilities and threaten Israel. Pray for wisdom and intelligence for Israel as it continues confronting Hezbollah operatives and military infrastructure, and for the protection of IDF soldiers and the families who have returned to communities along Israel’s northern border. Pray also for innocent Lebanese civilians who continue to live with the consequences of Hezbollah’s actions and Iran’s influence in Lebanon, and that another major war would be prevented.
• Pray regarding Iran as the United States increases economic pressure on the regime and Iran faces growing challenges at home and abroad. Pray for wisdom for Israel and the United States as they confront Iran’s nuclear ambitions, military capabilities, regional proxies, and expanding cyber activity. Pray that Iran would not succeed in using cyberattacks against civilian infrastructure in the United States, Britain, Israel, or elsewhere, and that its ability to finance Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations would be disrupted. Pray also for the Iranian people as inflation, shortages, unemployment, and the growing economic crisis place an increasingly heavy burden on ordinary families. Above all, pray for spiritual revival throughout Iran, that many more Iranians would turn to the one and only true God and come to know Yeshua as Messiah.
• Pray for the Gaza front as Hamas continues working to rebuild its military capabilities, plan attacks, and maintain control over the people of Gaza. Pray for the protection of IDF soldiers and Israeli communities along the Gaza border, especially as residents continue rebuilding their lives after October 7. Pray that Israel would have the intelligence and wisdom to identify and stop immediate threats before they become attacks. Pray that Hamas would be fully and verifiably disarmed, that its military infrastructure would be dismantled, and that it would lose the ability to govern Gaza or threaten Israel again. Pray also for innocent civilians in Gaza who continue to suffer under Hamas and for those facing intimidation and abuse from its internal security forces.
• Pray for the developing situation involving Israel, Syria, and Turkey as Turkey’s expanding role in Syria creates new security concerns along Israel’s northern border. Pray for wisdom for Israel’s leaders as they seek to prevent radar systems, air-defense capabilities, military bases, or other infrastructure that could restrict Israel’s ability to defend itself from being established in Syria. Pray that communication between Israel, Syria, Turkey, and the United States would prevent miscalculation and keep the current tensions from developing into a wider military confrontation. Pray also that Syria would not again become a base from which terrorist organizations or other forces can prepare attacks against Israel.
• Pray for the survivors of October 7 and the Nova music festival, for those who endured captivity in Gaza, and for the many Israeli families who continue carrying the loss and trauma of that day. Give thanks for the marriage of Ziv Abud and Eliya Cohen after everything they endured and for the opportunity they now have to build their life together. Pray for them and for the many other survivors who are moving forward while carrying the memory of friends and loved ones who were murdered. Pray that Israel’s communities would continue to rebuild and that moments of new life, marriage, and hope would continue to emerge from the tremendous loss of October 7.

Civilians

• Pray for the protection of Israeli communities living under the constant threat of terrorism, missiles, drones, and other security challenges, and that families throughout the country would experience God's peace in the midst of uncertainty.

• Pray for innocent civilians throughout the Middle East who continue to suffer because of war, terrorism, and regional instability. Pray especially for those whose lives may be affected by renewed conflict involving Iran, that they would be protected, receive the assistance they need, and one day live without fear of violence or oppression.

Soldiers and Security Forces

• Pray for the physical protection, emotional resilience, and spiritual strength of Israeli soldiers serving on every front, and that God would give them wisdom and clarity in every difficult decision they must make.

• Pray for the families of Israeli soldiers who have given their lives defending the nation, and for all families grieving loved ones lost through terrorism and regional conflict. May the Lord strengthen and comfort them in their grief.

Leadership

• Pray that Israel's leaders, together with leaders in the United States and other nations, would be granted wisdom, discernment, and moral clarity as they make decisions affecting the future of the region.

• Pray that diplomatic efforts concerning Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran would lead to genuine security, verified disarmament, and accountability rather than temporary arrangements that allow terrorist organizations or hostile regimes to rebuild and prepare for future attacks.

Truth and Justice

• Pray that the truth about terrorism, antisemitism, and the suffering of innocent people would be reported honestly and accurately throughout the world.
• Pray that antisemitism, hatred, intimidation, and the glorification of terrorism would be exposed, rejected, and lose their influence in politics, education, the media, and online platforms.
• Pray for the protection of Jewish communities, including synagogues, schools, community centers, universities, and public gatherings around the world.
  

• Pray that the Royal Commission examining antisemitism in Australia would uncover the truth, lead to meaningful accountability, and result in stronger protection for Jewish communities.

Healing, Restoration, and Hope

• Pray for the complete healing of wounded soldiers, terror victims, former hostages, and everyone carrying the physical and emotional scars of war.
• Pray for those struggling with trauma and PTSD, including soldiers, veterans, survivors, children, and families whose lives have been deeply affected by the events of October 7 and the months that followed.
• Pray for those who have returned from captivity, that the Lord would restore them physically, emotionally, and spiritually as they rebuild their lives and begin sharing their experiences.
• Pray for the families mourning the loss of loved ones, that God would sustain them with His comfort, strength, and hope.

Unity and Spiritual Awakening

• Pray for unity among the people and leadership of Israel, that division would not weaken the nation during this critical time.
• Pray that believers throughout Israel, both Jewish and Arab, would be strengthened in their faith, remain united in Messiah, and continue shining as a testimony of God's love and truth during these difficult days.
• Pray for people throughout Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, and across the Middle East to turn to the God of Israel, discover the hope found in the Messiah, and experience His peace, truth, and salvation.
  

• Pray for younger Jewish generations throughout the Diaspora, that they would grow in their understanding of their heritage, remain connected to Israel, and stand courageously against antisemitism and hatred.

Looking Forward

• Pray that God would grant Israel genuine and lasting peace founded upon security, justice, and truth rather than temporary quiet.
• Pray that the Lord would continue to strengthen His people with hope, perseverance, wisdom, and unwavering faith for every challenge that still lies ahead.
