Prayer Focus: Standing in the Gap

We invite you to stand with us in prayer for Israel and the region in this time.

“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night.” Isaiah 62:6

Northern Front

  • For protection over northern communities as Hezbollah continues violating ceasefire efforts through rocket fire, drone attacks, and ongoing threats along the Lebanese border, and now rocket fire from Iran, leaving families uncertain about what each day may bring.
  • For children, parents, and teachers in northern Israel whose routines continue to be interrupted by alerts and shelter runs, including those who were forced to seek shelter during school activities and daily routines.
  • For wisdom for Israel's leaders as they navigate the difficult balance between diplomatic efforts and the responsibility to protect communities that continue facing attacks despite ceasefire agreements.
  • For soldiers serving along the northern border and in southern Lebanon, that they would be protected from drones, ambushes, and Hezbollah positions designed to threaten Israeli communities.
  • For lasting security in the north, that Hezbollah's ability to threaten Israeli civilians would be diminished and that residents would one day be able to live without constant fear of rockets, drones, and infiltration threats.

Home Front

  • For protection over Israeli families across the country as Iranian missile attacks and threats from the Houthis once again force millions of people into shelters and interrupt daily life.
  • For peace and courage for children who have become accustomed to sirens, safe rooms, and interrupted routines, and for parents carrying the responsibility of helping them feel secure during uncertain days.
  • For strength for families living through the emotional strain of repeated alerts, shelter runs, and the constant awareness that the situation can change in a moment.
  • For wisdom, alertness, and protection for emergency responders, security personnel, and medical teams serving communities affected by missile attacks and security threats.
  • For God's protection over those serving on Israel’s front lines at home that He would give them alertness, discernment, and courage as they stand watch over communities and respond to threats before innocent lives are harmed.

Gaza Front

  • For protection over Israeli communities and soldiers facing ongoing threats from Gaza, including attempts to regroup, rearm, and carry out attacks.
  • For exposure and disruption of terror activity, that plans, weapons, and hidden infrastructure would be identified and stopped before reaching Israeli civilians.
  • For decisions that prevent Hamas from rebuilding its capabilities and creating another round of attacks against Israel.
  • For civilians in Gaza who are living under Hamas and other terror organizations, that they would be protected and that these groups would no longer be able to continue controlling or operating within Gaza.

Iranian Front

  • For wisdom for leaders in Israel, the United States, and throughout the region as they navigate rapidly changing developments with Iran, and that any negotiations would address the deeper threats driving the conflict rather than simply delaying them.
  • For protection over Israel, the United States, and allied forces facing ongoing threats from Iran and its network of proxy groups operating across the region.
  • For the disruption of Iran's military plans, missile capabilities, drone networks, and efforts to strengthen or coordinate attacks through its regional proxies.
  • For the Iranian people, many of whom do not support the regime's actions and continue living under repression, that they would be protected, strengthened, and given hope amid growing instability.
  • For a lasting solution to the threats posed by Iran's nuclear ambitions, regional aggression, and support for terror organizations, that future generations across the Middle East would be able to live in greater security and peace.

International Front

  • For protection over Jewish communities worldwide.
  • For security in synagogues, schools, and public spaces.
  • For clarity and truth where Israeli and Jewish communities are being misrepresented, and that false narratives would be exposed and not shape decisions or public response.
  • For courage and protection for Jewish people and those standing publicly with Israel. Pray that they would be supported and able to live openly without fear, and that voices of truth would not be silenced by intimidation, harassment, or pressure to hide who they are.
  • For antisemitism to decrease around the world, and for hatred, threats, vandalism, and intimidation against Jewish communities to be exposed, rejected, and stopped.

Soldiers

  • For the soldiers operating across different fronts under constant pressure.
  • For protection in body and mind.
  • For clarity in the moments where decisions have to be made quickly.

Wounded and Bereaved

  • For healing for wounded soldiers, physically and mentally.
  • For those dealing with trauma and PTSD.
  • For families who have lost loved ones, that they would be carried through the grief.
  • For the civilians wounded in recent terror attack, that they would recover fully and be strengthened in body, mind, and spirit.

Healing from Trauma and PTSD

  • For those still carrying the impact of October 7 and everything that has followed.
  • For soldiers and veterans whose experiences are not left behind when they leave the battlefield.
  • For healing in the places people do not talk about, where fear, memory, and exhaustion continue.
  • For the next generation, that fear would not take hold, and that they would grow up with strength and not be shaped by this reality.

Hostages and Survivors

  • For those who returned from captivity and are now beginning recovery.
  • For healing in the places that are not visible.
  • For protection over them as they begin to speak about what they went through.

Leadership

  • For Israel’s leaders as they make decisions in a very sensitive moment.
  • For wisdom to know when to act and when to hold back.
  • For decisions that lead to real security, not temporary quiet that allows threats to rebuild.
  • For leaders in the United States and around the world, that decisions would not be driven by pressure or confusion, but would contribute to stability and clarity in this situation.

Unity in Israel

  • For unity among the people and leadership.
  • For division not to weaken the country in this time.
  • For strength and shared responsibility.

Spiritual Awakening

  • For people across Israel and the region to turn to God.
  • For truth to be seen clearly in the middle of everything.

Looking Forward

  • For strength for what is still ahead.
  • For a future built on real security, not temporary quiet.
  • For hope to remain, even in this season.
