Shalom from Jerusalem,
As November begins, Israel finds herself in a fragile calm, a quiet that feels both merciful and uneasy. The echoes of war still hang in the air with Hamas’s ongoing ceasefire violations. Families are trying to breathe again, to return to life, yet everywhere there are empty chairs and unhealed wounds.
After two years of anguish, the living hostages have come home, but our joy is mixed with heartbreak as the bodies of others are now being returned. The relief we longed for arrived hand in hand with sorrow, reminding us that the cost of this war cannot be measured in numbers, only in names and faces.
Additionally, another war rages. A war of words and images, of deception and distortion. Around the world, voices rise against Israel, twisting truth and fueling hatred. Once again, we are reminded that our battle is not only fought with weapons, but with faith.
Now, more than ever, we must pray for comfort for the grieving, for courage for our soldiers, for wisdom for our leaders, and for truth to shine amid the darkness. Let us call on the God of Israel, who neither slumbers nor sleeps, to guard His people, to heal this land, and to bless Israel with peace.
Pray for:
- The families of the fallen hostages. Pray for deep comfort and healing for the families whose loved ones’ bodies have been returned, and for the miraculous release of the 11 still held in Gaza. Ask God to bind up the brokenhearted, to surround each family with compassion, and to turn their mourning into a testimony of His sustaining love.
- Protection during the fragile ceasefire. Pray that Israel’s borders remain secure and that no renewed attacks or infiltrations would break the peace. Please ask for divine wisdom for the IDF and intelligence services to discern every hidden threat and act with precision and restraint.
- Truth to prevail amid global misinformation. Intercede for the truth about Israel’s struggle and suffering to break through the lies spread across media and political platforms. Pray that the hearts of nations would be moved toward justice, compassion, and understanding of Israel’s right to exist in peace.
- Strength and clarity for Israel’s leaders. Ask God to grant Israel’s leaders discernment in this sensitive time. Pray that every decision would be guided by righteousness, unity, and the long-term welfare of the people of Israel.
- Healing for the nation’s soul. Pray for the emotional and spiritual recovery of soldiers, survivors, and all who carry trauma from the war. Ask God to restore joy to homes, rebuild shattered communities, and renew faith across the land.
- Unity and revival among God’s people. In a time of division and weariness, pray that the people of Israel, both in the Land and around the world, would draw closer to one another and to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Let His Spirit bring revival, hope, and renewed strength to this nation.

HFI PRAYER REQUESTS
As Israel enters this fragile ceasefire, Hope for Israel continues to serve faithfully, bringing comfort, strength, and light to families still healing from the war. We walk alongside those who mourn, those rebuilding their lives, and those standing for truth in the face of growing global hostility. Below are key ways you can pray for us and for our nation this month.
MORAN
This month, Moran continues to oversee some sizable projects that have been in the planning stages for some time. These projects help to bring additional safety and peace to so many families who are trying to rebuild their lives despite the precarious ceasefire that has been in place since early October.
Additionally, he has a two-week ministry trip scheduled for mid-November. He will be speaking in Texas, Ohio, & Nebraska. He will also hold an annual board meeting to approve the operating budget for next year.
Please continue to pray for wisdom & discernment as he seeks creative solutions in restructuring to meet the new reality in our office. The staff is still in transition on various levels, and Moran would be grateful for your prayers.
Please continue to pray for:
- Wisdom regarding the various aspects of the ministry that he oversees.
- Strength & wisdom as he provides support for friends & families who have lost their loved ones in the war.
- Strength, wisdom, protection & health during this intense time.
- Guidance and inspiration as he writes his weekly Scripture commentaries & war updates.
- Safety in his travels, in the air, and on the road. Protection during his speaking engagements.
HFI STAFF & BOARD MEMBERS
Our staff and board continue to serve with remarkable dedication, even as demands remain high and resources are stretched thin. In this ongoing season of recovery and rebuilding, their work requires both endurance and grace. We deeply appreciate your prayers for our team as we navigate these critical days together.
Please pray:
- For renewed strength, peace, and protection over every staff and board member as they pour themselves into serving others.
- That God would swiftly bring a full-time counselor for both our NerYah youth and believing soldiers programs, to support those carrying heavy emotional burdens.
- For the continued health and safety of our team members who have given birth, and for covering over all our team members’ families.
- For divine wisdom and unity for our board as they make key decisions regarding upcoming projects and future planning.
- For Bill Katz, our U.S. representative, that his travels would be safe, his ministry fruitful, and his family protected, especially amid the growing wave of antisemitism in the nations.
THREEFOLD VISION FOR EMPOWERING THE FUTURE GENERATION OF BELIEVERS
NerYah Youth Group
Please pray:
-
- For a male and female program coordinator and additional young adult volunteers to work with the believing youth in this year’s program.
- For the current situation in Israel, as it affects our ability to hold outdoor youth group activities, which is a central part of our program.
For the 12th graders this year, that they will be inspired to share ideas for the yearly program and be strongly involved in the overall program.
Believing Soldiers
Please pray:
- For the situation of the soldiers: The country remains in great uncertainty due to the war. Please pray for their peace and safety that they may learn to rest in God and draw their strength and hope from Him.
- For more volunteers who identify with our vision and desire to serve with us.
- For wisdom for the soldiers’ coordinators, that they may know how to effectively support the soldiers and remain relevant to their needs.
Discharged Believing Soldiers
Please pray:
- For our believing discharged soldiers, for clarity & wisdom as they reenter civilian life. This can be especially challenging for soldiers just coming out of combat units who might also be dealing with some PTSD and other challenges.
- For guidance & refreshment for the coordinators of this outreach, that they would know how to reach these released soldiers in ways they need the most.
Believing Students
Please pray:
- For focus and wisdom for them as they begin this academic year. Many students struggled to concentrate and keep up with their studies due to the war. In addition, a number of students were called up for reserve duty, or have spouses who were called up, which created further challenges in managing their academic responsibilities. Your prayers for God’s help, guidance, and strength during this time would be deeply appreciated.
MEDIA PROJECTS: FIGHTING FOR TRUTH
In an age of misinformation and weaponized narratives, the media has become a frontline battlefield. Hope for Israel remains committed to creating clear, truthful, Scripture-centered content that shares the reality of life in Israel today.
Please pray:
- For protection over our media platforms and an end to ongoing cyberattacks.
- For energy, wisdom, and focus for our media team as they meet increased demands.
- For God’s guidance in responding with grace and truth to critics and misinformation.
- For a grassroots movement of Israel advocates to rise across social platforms.
- For insight and creativity in developing content that educates, encourages, and changes hearts.
- For spiritual protection over the media team and their families.
- For the successful, timely development of our new website, both in design and functionality.
MINISTRY FINANCES
We are grateful for God’s faithful provision throughout this difficult season. Even in a fragile ceasefire, economic instability, and growing ministry demands, we have seen His hand sustaining our core operations.
At the same time, the scope of our work has expanded dramatically from emergency aid and community restoration to national advocacy and outreach. The need is greater than ever, and we are trusting the Lord to meet these needs fully so we can continue serving Israel with integrity, consistency, and compassion.
Please pray:
- For God’s continued provision to sustain both our daily operations and long-term projects.
- For wise financial stewardship across every department, especially as we respond to urgent needs and growing responsibilities.
- For new donors and partners who will stand with us and invest in Israel’s future.
COMMUNITY RESTORATION INITIATIVE
One of Hope for Israel’s most significant financial operations is currently underway: assisting communities that were directly impacted by the October 7 attacks and the ongoing conflict. From rebuilding infrastructure to securing homes and providing emotional and practical support, this is a long-term commitment to healing and restoration.
Please pray:
- For abundant provision to fully fund this critical work of restoration and renewal.
- For wisdom and strategic partnerships as we coordinate with local leaders and families.
- For hope to be restored in these devastated communities, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
- For the strength of the teams involved in logistics, counseling, and construction that they would be protected and sustained.
Tours
One of the main objectives of our tour operation is to cover ministry overhead, so that a higher percentage of donations can go to projects. We have some tours in the works for 2026, which we are really excited about.
Please continue to pray:
- Wisdom for Moran & Melissa as they face challenging decisions regarding the tour operations and continue planning tours for 2026.
- Open doors for “Footsteps of the Apostle Paul” tours to other countries of the Mediterranean region (Cyprus, Greece, Italy, etc.).
As we continue to stand in the gap for the people of Israel, for truth, and for the next generation of believers, your prayers, encouragement, and faithful support remain the lifeline that makes our work possible. Thank you for partnering with Hope for Israel as we serve with courage, compassion, and unwavering hope in the midst of these challenging times.
IN HIS SERVICE,
THE HOPE FOR ISRAEL PRAYER TEAM
