Pray with Us! – March 2026

Image
Shalom from Jerusalem,

March arrives not only with the sound of Purim in the streets, but with the sound of sirens across the country. Costumes are prepared and bakeries still fill with hamantaschen, yet celebrations unfold between alerts and trips to shelters. Families assembling mishloach manot (gift baskets) do so while monitoring Home Front Command updates. Soon, the Scroll of Esther will be read again, recounting how a decree of destruction was overturned and mourning was turned into joy. This year, that story feels less symbolic and more immediate, as Israel finds itself in open war with Iran, confronting a regime that has long declared its intent to erase the Jewish state. At the same time, households would normally be turning toward Passover preparations, cleaning and organizing for the season of redemption, but many are instead navigating closed schools, disrupted work schedules, and days structured around security directives.

This is no longer a season of possible escalation; it is a time of active conflict. Following coordinated strikes against Iran’s military and terror infrastructure, Israel is enduring sustained missile and drone attacks aimed at its cities and strategic sites. Families wake to sirens, children sleep near safe rooms, and routines are shaped by readiness. The war is not theoretical or distant, it is present in daily decisions, in shuttered classrooms, and in the steady resilience of communities determined to continue.

Ramadan began, bringing large gatherings in Jerusalem and heightened sensitivity around holy sites. In past years, extremist elements have exploited this period to incite unrest and violence. Israeli security forces therefore operate at heightened capacity, not as provocation, but as a necessary measure to protect civilians and preserve order during an already volatile time.

Against this complex and weighty backdrop, daily life continues with vigilance and resolve. Purim has never ignored danger; it remembers it, and it testifies to survival. As Israel marks this season, it does so while defending its people and its future, holding fast to faith that the God who preserved His people in the days of Esther remains a refuge and shield today.

Pray for:

  • Protection as Israel Defends Itself Amid War with Iran. After Israel awoke on Shabbat to the reality of open war and direct retaliation from Iran, pray for God’s covering over the nation. As missiles and drones target Israeli cities and families rush to shelters, ask Him to guard Israel’s skies, borders, strategic sites, and communities intercepting every incoming threat and shielding civilians from harm. Pray for strength, unity, and discernment for Israel’s leaders and defense forces as they act decisively to eliminate terror networks that openly call for the nation’s destruction. Ask that every remaining plan of aggression would be exposed and restrained before it can be carried out, and that Israel would stand secure and protected as it defends its people and its future.
  • Revival and courage among the people of Iran. At the same time, lift up the people of Iran, many of whom do not share the aggression or ambitions of their regime. As frustration and resistance continue to surface, pray for protection over those who long for change and who quietly or openly stand against oppression. Ask God to guard dissidents and families living under constant surveillance and threat, to restrain violent crackdowns, and to strengthen voices calling for accountability and reform. Pray for a growing awakening among the Iranian people to stand with courage against tyranny, and that movements seeking justice, stability, and freedom would gain strength without being crushed. We also pray for a spiritual awakening in Iran, that hearts would turn toward truth, freedom, and the knowledge of God beyond the oppression of the current regime.
  • Wisdom and stability during Ramadan and Purim. As Israel enters the sensitive overlap of Ramadan and Purim, seasons that historically can carry heightened tension, pray for calm across Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and mixed cities throughout the land. Ask God to guard against incitement, unrest, or coordinated violence, and to grant discernment to security forces operating in complex environments. Pray that Purim’s reminder of courage and deliverance would strengthen hearts, and that Ramadan would not be exploited by extremists seeking escalation.
  • Israel’s soldiers and reservists across all fronts. Pray for IDF soldiers and reservists serving under sustained readiness, whether in defensive deployment, counterterror operations, border security, or strategic preparation for broader conflict. Ask God to protect them physically and mentally, to grant clarity in high-pressure decisions, and to strengthen them spiritually. Lift up their families as well, carrying the strain of extended service, uncertainty, and continued national vigilance.
  • Protection amid ongoing security and terror threats within Israel. With continued alerts, attempted attacks, and heightened security measures affecting daily life, pray for God’s covering over Israel’s roads, schools, public spaces, and communities. Ask Him to frustrate acts of violence before they unfold, to sharpen the awareness of security personnel, and to preserve stability during this sensitive season.
  • Healing from prolonged national strain. After extended months of conflict, mobilization, and uncertainty, pray for emotional and spiritual renewal across the nation. Ask God to strengthen weary hearts, to bring peace where anxiety lingers, and to restore hope where fatigue has taken root. Pray especially for soldiers, veterans, and families carrying unseen wounds, trauma, stress, and exhaustion, that the Lord would bring deep healing and renewed resilience.
  • Jewish communities worldwide amid escalating antisemitism and coordinated hostility. As antisemitism intensifies globally, through physical attacks, harassment, organized boycott campaigns, online incitement, vandalism of synagogues and Jewish institutions, and hostility in cultural, academic, and athletic arenas, pray for protection and courage for Jewish communities everywhere. Ask God to guard families, schools, and places of worship, and to restrain those who seek to intimidate or isolate Jewish people. Pray that false narratives and coordinated defamation would be exposed, and that leaders, institutions, and individuals of integrity would stand up publicly to defend Jewish communities with moral clarity and conviction. Ask the Lord to strengthen Jewish communities in the face of growing pressure.
  • Unity among the people of Israel. In a time marked by security challenges, political complexity, and international scrutiny, pray for strengthened unity across Israeli society and throughout the Jewish world. Ask God to deepen shared purpose, to guard against division, and to draw His people closer together in faith, courage, and resolve.

HFI PRAYER REQUESTS

Israel remains in a watchful and sensitive season, with regional tensions shaping daily reality. In the midst of this, our work continues. We stand with believing soldiers and their families, support students and young adults, and serve communities carrying prolonged strain. We invite you to stand with us in prayer as we continue strengthening lives across Israel during this critical time.

MORAN

Moran excitedly anticipates the arrival of the ministry’s Experience Israel Tour this month! It’s a smaller group, which will give him the opportunity to go deeper in the Word as he teaches throughout the country at key biblical sites. It will also be a time of wonderful fellowship with dear people who have a strong desire to experience the Israel of the Bible and of today.

Moran continues to oversee the implementation of “Operation Doors of Hope” in a border community devastated on October 7th, 2023. These doors bring additional safety and peace to so many families who are trying to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of war.

Later this month, Moran will travel to teach in the southern United States. For information on where he will be speaking, please email us at [email protected].

Please continue to pray for:

  • A successful Experience Israel Tour!
  • Travel mercies in his end-of-the-month trip, and safety during his speaking events.
  • Wisdom regarding the various aspects of the ministry that he oversees.
  • Wisdom as he provides support for friends & families who have lost their loved ones in the war.
  • Continued strength, wisdom, protection & health during this busy month.
  • Guidance and inspiration as he writes his weekly Scripture commentaries & war updates, and films videos advocating for Israel.

THREEFOLD VISION FOR EMPOWERING THE FUTURE GENERATION OF BELIEVERS

NerYah Youth Group

Please pray:

  • For our upcoming programs in the NerYah youth group, including a joint Purim activity with other youth groups and a trip planned for April. Ask the Lord to grant wisdom and grace in planning each event and in the ongoing activities of the youth group, and pray that the security situation in the country will allow these programs to take place as planned.
  • For the team of counselors and volunteers serving throughout the year, for wisdom, favor, and grace, for strong and healthy relationships with the youth, and for a powerful ability to influence them through the Lord and His Spirit. We thank God for this year’s team, comprised of students who are part of the third element of the “triple vision,” and ask for continued blessing over their communication, talents, and skills.
  • For deep and meaningful relationships with the youth, for wisdom, understanding, and strength to initiate connection, to maintain and nurture existing relationships, and to build new ones.

Believing Soldiers

Please pray:

  • For protection and safety over our believing soldiers serving on the ground, for a sense of security, and for God’s presence to continue accompanying them day and night.
  • For the families of believing soldiers and reservists, for strength, comfort, peace of mind, and faith during this complex season, as reserve mobilization and heightened operational demands continue. Pray that the Lord grant physical endurance and emotional perseverance to all our soldiers.
  • For wisdom, discernment, and sound judgment for commanders as they make critical decisions during these challenging times.
  • For a speedy physical recovery for all who are wounded and for breakthrough, emotional healing, and restoration in the lives of those suffering from trauma.
  • For our ongoing relationship with our believing soldiers throughout the week, for deep and meaningful conversations, and that we may be a source of encouragement, support, and a listening ear during this demanding season.

Believing University Students/Discharged Soldiers

Please pray:

  • For wisdom, focus, memory, and success for our students during the current exam period.
  • For the emotional and spiritual strengthening of our students, especially during this time of war, which makes studying and maintaining a routine especially difficult. For those students also serving in the reserves, that the Lord grant special favor, grace, and outstanding success despite the challenges of transitioning between military service and academic life.
  • For wisdom in how we can accompany and support our students in meaningful and relevant ways, with sensitivity and attentiveness to their needs.
  • Please pray for our released soldiers as they seek direction after completing their military service, that they would not feel lost during the transition into civilian life, but instead feel loved, secure, and confident in the Lord’s love and guidance for their future.
    MEDIA PROJECTS: FIGHTING FOR TRUTH

The story being told about Israel is often shaped far from the realities on the ground. Context is stripped away, facts are distorted, and louder narratives quickly take hold. In this climate, silence is not an option. Hope for Israel remains committed to producing clear, truthful, Scripture-centered content that reflects the real lives, challenges, and faith of people in Israel today. As misinformation spreads and hostility grows, this work is not only important, it is urgent, rooted in truth and grounded in faith.

    Please pray:

    • For the protection of our media platforms and an end to ongoing cyberattacks.
    • For energy, wisdom, and focus for our media team as they meet increased demands.
    • For God’s guidance in responding with grace and truth to critics and misinformation.
    • For a grassroots movement of Israel advocates to rise across social platforms.
    • For insight and creativity in developing content that educates, encourages, and changes hearts.
    • For spiritual protection over the media team and their families.
    • For the successful, timely development of our new website, both in design and functionality.
    MINISTRY FINANCES

We are grateful for God’s faithful provision throughout this difficult season. Even in a fragile ceasefire, economic instability, and growing ministry demands, we have seen His hand sustaining our core operations.

At the same time, the scope of our work has expanded dramatically from emergency aid and community restoration to national advocacy and outreach. The need is greater than ever, and we are trusting the Lord to meet these needs fully so we can continue serving Israel with integrity, consistency, and compassion.

    Please pray:

    • For God’s continued provision to sustain both our daily operations and long-term projects.
    • For wise financial stewardship across every department, especially as we respond to urgent needs and growing responsibilities.
    • For new donors and partners who will stand with us and invest in Israel’s future.
    COMMUNITY RESTORATION INITIATIVE

One of Hope for Israel’s most significant financial operations is currently underway: assisting communities that were directly impacted by the October 7 attacks and the ongoing conflict. From rebuilding infrastructure to securing homes and providing emotional and practical support, this is a long-term commitment to healing and restoration.

    Please pray:

    • For abundant provision to fully fund this critical work of restoration and renewal.
    • For wisdom and strategic partnerships as we coordinate with local leaders and families.
    • For hope to be restored in these devastated communities, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
    • For the strength of the teams involved in logistics, counseling, and construction that they would be protected and sustained
      Tours

One of the main objectives of our tour operation is to cover ministry overhead, so that a higher percentage of donations can go to projects. We have some tours in the works for 2026, which we are really excited about: Footsteps of the Apostle Paul in Greece (May 22- June 2, 2026); and an Israel Solidarity Tour (August 27 – September 7, 2026) Please continue to pray for:

      Please continue to pray:

      • Wisdom regarding current & future tour operations.
      • The HFI Tours to be full!
      • Other groups that are planning tours through us to materialize and for our tour operation to regain traction in 2026.

We remain steadfast in standing with the people of Israel, for truth, for courage, and for the next generation being shaped in this defining season. Your prayers and faithful support sustain this work in meaningful and measurable ways. Thank you for partnering with Hope for Israel as we continue to serve with conviction, compassion, and enduring hope in these critical days.

      IN HIS SERVICE,
THE HOPE FOR ISRAEL PRAYER TEAM
