אל הקולוסים א׳:9-23

בפס׳ 9-12 שאול אומר ״מאז ששמענו מאפפרס על אמונתכם ואהבתכם ברוח (שקיבלתם את הבשורה ושאתם מאמינים) אנחנו לא מפסיקים להתפלל בעבורכם ולבקש מאלוהים שתבינו את רצונו (מה הוא רוצה, מה הוא מתכנן, מה הוא עשה לעומק) ושתתמלאו בחוכמה ותבונה רוחנית (הבנה/יכולת להסביר משהו לעומק)״.

השלב הראשון של כל תלמיד של אלוהים הוא השלב שבו הוא מתחיל להאמין. משהו משתנה בו באופן טבעי, החיים שלו משתנים פתאום יש משמעות ומשהו אמור גם להשתנות בהתנהגות שלו. אותם הקולוסים קיבלו את האמונה ומשהו השתנה בחייהם. שאול וטימותאוס רואים את זה ועומדים בעבורם בתפילה שידעו את רצון אלוהים.

מה יקרה ברגע שהם ידעו את רצון אלוהים? ברגע שנדע מה רצונו, איך לקיים אותה ונדע גם להסביר אותו נוכל להתהלך ולחיות חיים כפי שהאדון (המלך) שלנו מצפה מאיתנו (על פי רצונו) ונוכל להצליח להשפיע בכל מעשה טוב שנעשה ונגדל בהיכרות שלנו עם אלוהים. בנוסף, נתחזק בגבורה ונהיה סבלנים ומלאים בסובלנות ובשמחה נודה לאלוהים על שנתן לנו את הזכות להיות חלק מנחלת הקדושים באור.

מהי נחלת הקדושים? מלכות השמים. מי הוא האור? ישוע. בפס׳ 13  מתחיל שאול להסביר איך אלוהים הכשיר אותנו להשתתף בנחלת הקדושים, במלכות השמים, התשובה היא דרך ישוע. האב הצילנו משלטון החשך והעבירו אל מלכות בנו אהובו. לישוע יש מלכות והמלכות הזו היא מנת חלקנו. אנחנו כבר איננו תחת השליטה של מלכות החושך, איננו חייבים דבר לשטן—רומים ח׳:12 ״אומנם אחי חייבים אנחנו אבל לא לחטא שנחיה על פיו!״ האדון, המלך שלנו ומי ששולט עלינו אינו השטן או הבשר שלנו אלא אלוהים ברוחו!

בפס׳ 14-22 אנחנו מתחילים לדבר על המלך שלנו. אותו מלך הוא הפדות ודרכו יש לנו סליחת חטאים. בנוסף חשוב שנדע שהמלך שלנו הוא אלוהים בבשר, הוא הראשון שהוא היה מבראשית..  שם הוא עמד והכול נברא דרכו, על ידיו, באמצעותו. הוא דבר אלוהים, הוא אותו הדבר שיצר את הכול. הוא הראשון, החלוץ מבחינת כל כך הרבה דברים, הוא בכור הבריאה, בכור מבין המתים – האדם הראשון שעבר ממלכות החטא אל מלכות האלוהים. ודרך המוות שלו הוא ריצה, גרם לכך שהדברים יהיו על פי רצון אלוהים, ריצוי והוא הפך את הדברים למושלמים.

מה זה ריצוי? פִּיוּס, שידוּל, עשִׂייַת שלום עִם יָריב, הפָגת רוגֶז. הקולוסים וגם אנחנו בעבר לא היינו אזרחים של מלכות השמים ומרדנו ממלכות , במלך במעשים והמחשבות שלנו. אבל הוא ריצה אותנו אל האב על ידי מותו במטרה להראות אותנו לפניו ביום האחרון כשונים מהעולם, בלי שום רבב, כתם של אשמה.

בפס׳ 23—שאול מצביע על תנאי מסוים במילה ״אם״, תנאי שהוא האתגר גם, להמשיך לעמוד באופן מבוסס ויציב עם אמונה בליבנו ולהחזיק ולא להרפות מה קווה ששמענו בבשורה.

מה היא התקווה? התקווה היא הציפייה שלנו לחזרה של ישוע! שאול קורא לנו ואומר לנו אלוהים עשה את הכול בשבילכם אפילו שלח את המלך, ישוע, כדי למות בעבור החטא שלנו הדרך כבר סלולה לפנינו, כל שעלינו לעשות הוא להתהלך בה, לשמור על עצמנו מלסור ממנה או ליפול ממנה.

איך נוכל לעשות זאת? על ידי בקשה מאלוהים להתמלא בדעת רצונו של אלוהים. שנבקש להבין מה הוא רוצה מאיתנו ושייתן לנו חוכמה ותבונה למצבים. הנוכחות שלנו להמשיך לחזק את הזיכרון שלנו בבשורה, לציית למה שאלוהים קורא לנו לעשות. המילה ״תמלאו דעת״ מזכיר את המונח ״תמלאו ברוח״ וגם מה שנותן לנו תבונה רוחנית, חוכמה ודברי דעת היא הרוח. רוח הקודש משחקת תפקיד משמעותי בחייו של אזרח במלכות השמים כי כיום ובכללי היא זו שמעבירה את רצונו של אלוהים אלינו.

Colossians 1:9–23

In verses 9–12, Paul says: “since the day we heard [from Epaphras about your love in the Spirit] (that you have received the Gospel and that you have come to faith), we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His Will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.”

The first stage of every disciple of Yeshua is that of coming to faith. Something changes within the believer naturally upon coming to faith, so that the believer finds all meaning in life in the Messiah and naturally begins to live a life centered on Yeshua. When the Collosians came to faith, the change in them was clear.

How precious is that moment that they came to the saving knowledge of God! Once we grasp His Will for our lives and how He desires for it to manifest in the day to day, we get the privilege of walking out the plans that the Lord, our king, has for us, plans to prosper us in every good work—we’ll receive courage from Him to do His Will unto walking fully in the light in the inheritance of the saints!

The inheritance of the saints is the Kingdom of Heaven, and our Light is Yeshua. In verse 13, Paul begins to explain that God had equipped him to enter into the inheritance of the saints, the Kingdom of Heaven, by faith in Yeshua. The Father has saved us from the powers of darkness and welcomed us into the kingdom of His beloved son! Romans 8:12 says: “brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.” The Lord, our king reigns in us and leads us by His Spirit and the powers of darkness are powerless against us.

In verses 14–22 Paul begins to speak about Yeshua as our king, the king who is our redemption and by whom we have forgiveness of sins. Our king is God in the flesh, the one who was in the beginning, through whom all created things have their being. He is the Word of God that brought about all things. He is the first in so many ways, the firstborn of all creation, the firstborn from the dead—the first to conquer sin and death and enter wholly into the Kingdom of God! By his death we are reconciled to the Father and by him the wrong things are made right.

What is reconciliation anyway? Reconciliation is the process by which our enemies come become our friends. We are no different from the Colossians in that while we were yet still enemies of God, Yeshua reconciled us to Him by his death and resurrection so as to present us before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach.

In verse 23 Paul presents a challenge before the Collosians: “continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard.”

What is this hope? Our hope is in the return of Yeshua! Paul calls us to stand fast in this hope, knowing that God confirmed the promise of Yeshua’s return when he sent Yeshua our king to die for our sins and to be resurrected and to ascend to the right hand of the Father! The path is already paved before us and we simply need to enter in and guard against straying from the path.

How do we make sure to stay on the right track? We ask God to fill us with a knowledge of His Will. We ask him to give us discernment to know what He desires of us in any given situation. We ask him to bring to our remembrance the hope of the Gospel to strengthen us to submit to God’s Will for our life, and He fills us with His Spirit to guide us!
