Israeli police reportedly suspended an officer for an incident that occurred in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah last week. The officer apparently shot a Palestinian teen in the back with a rubber bullet when she refused to reenter her house. The 16-year-old teen, Jana Kiswani, stood in the courtyard of her building, just past the gate, and said that the officer fired on her. She was hospitalized with a broken vertebrae. Please pray for Jana’s full recovery! Please also pray that if the officer is found to have acted outside of the law that he will be held accountable. Lastly, please continue to pray as tensions between Israeli Jews and Arabs are still high; we ask for prayers that another uprising will not happen!
