Israel has reached a milestone in the pandemic – two million Israelis have received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. For a country of 9 million, this is quite a feat. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein were present at a clinic in central Israel when a kindergarten teacher became the 2nd millionth Israeli to receive the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Meanwhile, the Health Ministry reported 6,260 new cases of coronavirus since midnight on Thursday. The national COVID-19 death toll rose to 3,860 fatalities since the start of the pandemic. Please continue to pray for Israel as we seek to emerge from the pandemic’s grip. Please also pray for wisdom for Israel’s government officials as they decide to either extend the current lockdown or loosen restrictions.
