Israel to Start Human Trials of Vaccine

Defense Minister Benny Gantz said an Israeli research institute will begin human trials on a potential coronavirus vaccine after the Jewish High Holidays in September. The Institute for Biological Research is the first scientific organization in Israel that has reached the stage of human trials in the race for an effective vaccine against the virus that causes COVID-19. This could be an important step in returning tourism to Israel, as the country is still closed to visitors.
