Israel Opening Up

A major announcement came that, beginning March 1st, Israel will allow unvaccinated tourists into the country. This is a surprising turn in Israel’s COVID policy, especially as the country has virtually been closed to tourists the past two years. Israel recently decided to scrap its Green Pass system for citizens, but no one really expected such a sudden turn towards unvaccinated tourists. Tourists will still need to submit a negative COVID-19 test prior to boarding a flight to Israel, as well as undergo a test upon arrival at the airport. More details regarding tourists are still forthcoming, and we will know more in the coming weeks. Please pray that Israel’s devastated tourist industry will steadily recover in the coming year. Please also pray for wisdom for Israeli officials as they continue to make decisions that affect the future of Israeli tourism. Lastly, please pray that Israel will continue to emerge from the effects of the pandemic.
