Israel Experiences Low Rainfall

So far, Israel’s winter this year has been dry and sunny, excepting short bursts of rain at the end of October and the middle of December. While the sunshine is pleasant day to day, the lack of rain is concerning. Israel still largely relies on rain for drinking water, despite massive advances in the field of desalination; a dry winter can result in summer water shortages. Some other issues caused by minimal rainfall are an increased risk of wildfires, and a strain on the agricultural industry.

Please pray for sufficient rain to fill the Sea of Galilee and Israel’s streams and water reserves. Please pray for water for Israelis and for their agriculture, and for a summer of plenty! Lastly, please continue to pray for the safety and preparedness of Israelis travelling and working in the rain.
