Israel Entering Second Lockdown

Due to an exponential increase in coronavirus infections, Israel will re-enter lockdown for three weeks. The health system is beginning to be overwhelmed with critically ill patients. The government hopes that reimposing a lockdown will help flatten the curve and dramatically slow the spread of the virus. Lockdown will begin Friday, September 18, which is Rosh Hashanah, the beginning of the Jewish High Holy Day season, and will last at least until the end of Succot (Feast of Tabernacles). All schools and non-essential businesses will close, while office workers will work remotely. Please continue to pray for all who have been infected, for healing. Please also continue to pray for wisdom for Israel’s government in these unprecedented times.
