Earlier this week, the progressive wing of the United States’ Democrats voted to not include $1B funding for Israel’s Iron Dome defense program in the annual budget. In an effort to combat this, the U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a separate bill designating funding for the Iron Dome system. The bill will need to successfully pass the Senate, but it appears it will do so. Israel’s Iron Dome saves thousands of Israeli lives – Jews and Arabs alike – when Hamas indiscriminately fires missiles into Israel. This system is not one that attacks Palestinians, nor does it cause any harm to Palestinian infrastructure. The opposition to funding the Iron Dome is nothing less than anti-Israel and anti-Semitic sentiment that is rapidly growing within the progressive faction of the American Democratic party. Please pray that support for Israel’s defense against terrorism will only grow in America, and throughout the world. Please also pray for continued support for Israel as an important American ally will also remain strong. Lastly, please continue to pray for safety of all Israelis from terrorism!
