The United Kingdom reportedly said that Iran “highly likely” attacked an Israeli-operated oil tanker off the coast of Oman on July 29th. Two foreign workers were killed in the attack. British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said, “The UK condemns the unlawful and callous attack committed on a merchant vessel off the coast of Oman, which killed a British and a Romanian National.” Israeli Prime Minister Bennett said that the attack will not go unpunished and that various nations are working on a concerted response to it. This comes as tensions between Iran and Israel are increasingly high, especially as Israel is actively attempting to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.
