Following the US announcement of its imminent embassy move to Jerusalem, multiple nations are now discussing moving their embassy to Jerusalem as well!
Last week at the AIPAC (The American Israel Public Affairs Committee) conference, Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales announced that the Guatemalan embassy will also be moving to Jerusalem in May, two days after the American embassy moves in celebration of 70 years of Israeli independence.
This past Thursday, the president of the Czech Republic, Milos Zeman, was quoted by local media as saying that moving his country’s embassy to Jerusalem is a top priority and that he wanted to speed up the process. There is still quite a bit of resistance in the Czech government to such an embassy move, so a move is unlikely in the near future, but the support of the Czech president for the move is encouraging. Let’s pray that the embassy move will gain greater support in the Czech Republic moving forward.
Finally, both Honduras and Paraguay said they are both ready “in principle” to proceed with moving their embassies to Jerusalem on the condition that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu makes an official visit to each of their countries. Pray that these two countries will also join the USA in its recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
