Israel in Focus

Israel… the only Jewish state

Often times, criticism of Israel overlooks the fact that Israel is literally the only Jewish state in the world. Throughout history, the Jewish people have faced discrimination time and time again. That’s one reason that the re-establishment of the Jewish state has been a huge blessing for the Jewish people. Not surprisingly, this state has also been a huge blessing through its technological advancements, agricultural innovations and high export of choice produce, and through its cutting edge medical research not to mention other sought after innovations coming from leaders in Israel today.

And yet, from the very beginning of the re-establishment of the Jewish state of Israel in 1948, Israel has had its work cut out for it in the international arena. The people who pay the price for the anti-Israel propaganda are everyday citizens of Israel. In the video above, you’ll see just one example of how anti-Israel policies affect average everyday citizens of the only Jewish state in the world.

Please join us in praying for those who have experienced this kind of discrimination that God will give them peace and continue to keep the Jewish people safe in the only nation of the Jewish people, by the Jewish people and for the Jewish people. Pray also that within the Jewish state of Israel, righteous policies will be enacted that will protect Israel’s ethnic minorities such as the Druze, the Bedouin, and Arab-Israelis. One issue that has been debated heavily among non-Jewish Israelis as of late is the Jewish Nation-State Law that defines Israel as a Jewish state. While this law is a very necessary assertion that Israel is in fact a Jewish state, further clarity must be achieved regarding how Israel will continue to honor and give a voice to all peoples living within her borders — citizens, migrant workers, temporary residents, or otherwise.
