Often times, well meaning believers come to me with a nice smile and tell me, “Moran, your people, the Jewish people, are wonderful people”, I must say that this is something I enjoy hearing… “but” and here comes the true purpose of what they are trying to tell me, “but, they are missing the most important part of the puzzle… the center piece, which is Yeshua! Without that piece, the puzzle will never be completed.”
To their surprise, I reply, “I agree with you with all of my heart! My people are missing the most important part of the puzzle, the Messiah who is in the center, connecting the puzzle pieces which without Him, would be incomplete. But…”(yes, I also have that word in my vocabulary) “…there is a problem,” I say. “The problem is that you have only one piece of the puzzle… how would you know where it fits if you are missing the rest of the pieces?”
Now, admittedly, the above conversation is a bit tongue and cheek, but we must seriously ask ourselves how would we know that Yeshua is the promised Messiah, the One who fulfills the prophecies if we never read them? What kind of assurance do we have? On what are we basing our beliefs…on our feelings or the unshakable truth?
Feelings come and go, and change with time, but the truth stands forever and is un-changeable! Rav Shaul (Paul) wrote this wonderfully in his letter to the Corinthians:
“Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Messiah died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,” 1 Cor 15:1-4
Once again, we see that the basis of our beliefs must come from what Paul refers to as “the Scriptures”. Should we not take the time to read them, to know them, to reflect upon them, and to grow in our knowledge of them?

This is so true! The Lord’s will is found in the breadth ALL Scripture! It’s not just one side!
Excellent Moran! This is a wonderful way for me to explain to my Christian friends that we, (the Jew’s), missed the piece, but they have missed the pieces.. I continue to pray for more wisdom, and guidance in sharing the truth of G-d’s word. Thank you, I will share this with others. Praying for you, Melissa and those beautiful children.
