Germany, Israel Agree Iran Arms Embargo Important

Israeli Foreign Minister, Gabi Ashkenazi met with German counterpart, Heiko Maas, regarding the importance of renewing an arms embargo against Iran. The current U.N. arms embargo is due to expire on Oct. 18. Ashkenazi told reporters in Berlin an extension was needed to prevent Iran from getting “more advanced weapons systems and spreading them around the Middle East.” Russia and China are almost 100% certain to veto the U.N. Security Council’s renewal of the embargo, but Germany is hopeful it can broker a diplomatic agreement among all countries in order to keep Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Please pray that Iran will not obtain a weapon of mass destruction, and that the nations will understand the grave threat Iran poses to the world.
