France condemned Israel’s plan to construct 800 more Jewish settler homes in Judea-Samaria. Israel is racing to begin the projects shortly before pro-settlement U.S. President Donald Trump leaves office. French Foreign Ministry released a statement referring to Israel and the Palestinians, who seek a state in the same territory: “(We) call on the parties to avoid any unilateral measures that could jeopardize the two-state solution founded on international law and agreed parameters.” Jewish settlements, although legal under international law, are very controversial as many see them as a roadblock to peace. Please pray for wisdom for Israel’s leaders regarding expanding settlements. Please also pray for viable housing solutions in other parts of Israel as we experience a housing shortage. Lastly, please pray for a viable solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
