When it rains, it pours! This is very true in Israel right now, as we experience a strong winter storm. The northern city of Nahariya flooded when the Ga’aton River, which passes through the city, overflowed due to heavy rainfall and submerged several parts of the city near the beach. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but there was damage to buildings and businesses. Mount Hermon received light snow, which in the spring, will melt to fill the Sea of Galilee. The Sea of Galilee is Israel’s primary fresh water source, and Israelis depend on it for the majority of our drinking water. More rain is forecast for the remainder of the week. Please pray for protection from flooding in all parts of the country. Please also pray for safety on the roads during the storm.
