Egypt is expected to invite Israel and Hamas to Cairo for talks regarding a long-term ceasefire agreement, the rehabilitation of Gaza, and the return of four Israelis to Israel. Two are assumed to be alive and held prisoner, while the other two perished in the 2014 war with Hamas but their bodies have yet to be returned. At this point, no information is available on the demands that Israel will require Hamas to adhere to. Please continue to pray for wisdom for Israel’s governing leaders and the representatives who will be part of the negotiations. Please also pray that the people of Gaza will be free from the oppressive rule of Hamas, and form a truly democratic government that seeks the well-being of its people – not war with Israel.
