East Jerusalem Burning

Tensions between Arab Muslims and Israeli police peaked over the weekend. Buses of Muslim worshippers were stopped from entering East Jerusalem due to intel of a passenger planning a terror attack. Highway 1 was blocked in both directions on Shabbat as Muslim protestors stopped traffic as they marched on foot. On Monday, violent clashes between Israeli police and Palestinian rioters resumed on the Temple Mount on as police prevented Jewish worshippers from visiting the holy site on contentious Jerusalem Day. There are other pressing issues fueling the fire, such as the possible expulsion of Arab residents from Sheikh Jarrah, a neighborhood of East Jerusalem. Please continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6)! Please also pray for a just and equitable treatment of all citizens of Israel, regardless of religious or ethnic identity. Lastly, please continue to pray that tensions will subside quickly, and for no further escalations in this last week of Ramadan.
