Israel posted its highest daily infection rate since October as Omicron variant spreads.The virus’ reproduction number (R), which shows how many people are infected on average by one virus carrier, now stands at 1.02. The Health Ministry reported that 106 patients are in severe condition, 61 of whom are ventilated. While this is could point to another coming wave of infections, it is still too early to really know how the Omicron variant will play out. Please pray for wisdom for Israeli officials as they decide what measures to take to curb the rise in infections. Please also pray for those who are most vulnerable to infection, for protection over them, and healing for the infected. Lastly, please pray that Israelis will take personal responsibility to protect themselves from infection as much as possible!
