Bird Flu Outbreak

A bird flu outbreak has killed over 5,000 wild cranes in northern Israel. Every year, these cranes stop in the Hula Valley as they migrate to Africa. The H5N1 virus has also been detected in some chickens in the area. In light of this, the health ministry has suspended egg sales from affected farms. It is rare for H5N1 to spread among humans, but there have been past outbreaks. Please pray that this bird flu will not spread further among chickens, and that we will not have an egg shortage in the country. Please also pray that it will not infect humans, causing yet another medical emergency. Lastly, please pray for wisdom for Israeli officials as they seek to contain this outbreak.
