Yet another existing pharmaceutical drug has been found to effectively treat severe cases of COVID. Another team of researchers at Israel’s Hebrew University found that a $15 drug, “TriCor” (fenofibrate) significantly reduced inflammation in severely ill patients.The study found that 14 out of 15 severely ill patients did not require oxygen after one week, and were all released from the hospital.This drug is currently FDA-approved, but further tests will need to be done to get it approved for COVID treatment.
