Israel’s Energy and Water Minister Yuval Steinitz explained today that the massive gas deal with Jordan that was announced on Sunday is a “historic” moment for Israel since for the first time in its history Israel will be an energy exporter. Steinitz is going to Athens on Wednesday to meet with his counterparts in Greece and Cyprus to discuss the laying of a “long” pipeline to Cyprus and then to Greece, and from there further inland to other parts of Europe. Pray that this deal will remain in tact and that Steinitz will be successful during his trip to Athens tomorrow.
