Shalom from Jerusalem,
I want to once again express my deepest gratitude for your faithful support of Hope for Israel. Your partnership continues to be a lifeline of encouragement and strength.
After the horrific massacres of October 7, 2023, the Lord impressed on my heart a single word: “Restoration.” I knew that one of Hope for Israel’s callings in these dark days would be to help bring restoration to people and places devastated by unimaginable loss.
In March of last year, I shared with you about a vital project to provide true safety and security for the residents of the Western Negev, the communities living closest to the Gaza border. We saw, with unbearable clarity that day, how many sealed rooms failed to protect families: bullets pierced through weak doors, and smoke forced people from spaces meant to shelter them. The need for advanced, reinforced, bulletproof, fire-resistant, and smoke-sealed doors became painfully obvious.
Our goal has been clear: to restore confidence, to make homes safe again, and to help these residents begin rebuilding shattered lives in the only place they can call home.
I am so blessed to share that I recently inspected the installation of these new doors. One member of the community sent me this message that touched me deeply:
“Wow, if we had this door on October 7th, we would have locked it and gone to sleep. I wouldn’t have had to sit holding the handle in fear until five in the afternoon. This is a door you can rely on!”
This is restoration in action. This is what your generosity makes possible.
We are now entering the second stage of this project, and in order to complete it, we urgently need your continued partnership. Every gift brings us closer to ensuring that more families can live with the confidence and safety they desperately deserve.
Thank you for continuing to stand with us. Together, we are moving from brokenness and despair to renewed strength, confidence, and security , in our homes and in our homeland.
With heartfelt thanks,
In His Service,
