Shalom from Jerusalem!

I am very grateful for your partnership in bringing practical hope to families in need through our Operation Hesed project. I received a very touching message from a young man that I wanted to share:

I would like to express my deep gratitude for the donation I received from you for Rosh Hashanah.

I am a lone soldier, without my immediate family as my mother has been struggling with drug addiction for many years and my father cut off contact with me when I was a child. Since I was young, I have taken care of myself both financially and mentally. And I do my best to move forward despite the difficulties.

Today I live with my grandmother, along with my uncles, their children and my little sister. Our house is full of good and warm people. But it is not an easy financial burden. My grandmother does her best to take care of everyone, but it is often very difficult to meet all the expenses.

For Rosh Hashanah, I received grocery vouchers from your organization, and this assistance was especially meaningful to us. Thanks to your donation, we were able to buy food and basic things for the house and celebrate the holiday in a more dignified & peaceful way. It may seem like a small thing from the outside, but for us it was a very big relief both financially and mentally.

As someone who has been self-supporting since a young age, this help allows me to breathe for a moment, knowing that there is someone who supports me and appreciates the path I am taking. It gave my grandmother a sense of security and joy, knowing that not all the burden falls on her.

Your donation not only provided a response to a momentary need, but it also gave a sense of hope knowing there are good people behind us, who believe in and lend a hand to soldiers in tough situations.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your giving, caring and investment. Thanks to you, many families, including my family, can get through challenging times with a sense of warmth and support.

May you be blessed for your blessed work and your broad heart.

Wishing you a Happy New Year, health, joy and continued blessed work

You are a significant part of our work! Thank you for entrusting your offering to Hope for Israel. Your partnership means a great deal to me, my team, and the many people who are blessed by the ministry’s work. May we continue to be a light to all of Israel!
