PM Netanyahu missed the midnight deadline to form a new coalition. Israel’s President, Reuven Rivlin, must now decide whether or not to task another candidate with the mandate. Rivlin is expected to give one of Netanyahu’s opponents a chance to form an alternative coalition government. He also could ask the parliament to select one of its own members as prime minister. If all else fails, the country would be forced into another election this fall. This would be the fifth election in two years. Please pray for wisdom for President Rivlin. Please also pray that Israel will avoid yet another expensive election! Lastly, please pray for a viable solution to Israel’s political crisis and for a godly leader to rise up to lead this nation.
