Around the same time that the terrorist attacks were happening in Israel, a Jewish man in Uruguay was stabbed to death while crossing the street as his attacker yelled, “Allahu Akbhar”. The 54-year old man was a well-known businessman and leader in the Jewish community. A few days prior, a 13-year-old boy in France was attacked by three young African men while he was on his way to synagogue. The men called him a “dirty Jew” and ripped off his kippa before slamming his head into a pole. This gruesome activity carries with it the spirit of anti-Semitism, a hatred towards innocent people simply because they are Jewish. Please pray with us against any and all forms of anti-Semitism, whether individual attacks such as these that are increasing across the globe, or in international campaigns like the BDS movement, which we believe is rooted in anti-Semitism.
