It may not seem like a big deal, but in a country where religious convictions go so deep, especially for the ultra-Orthodox, effective communication is critical. This past week, an Israeli airline got out of control and was forced to land before reaching Israel when a number of ultra-Orthodox Jews onboard grew concerned that the airplane might not land before the Shabbat would begin. As a result, numerous other passengers were unsettled by the scene and forced to find a hotel in Greece as a result of the early landing. This led to passengers demanding about 9 million NIS (more than $2.4 million) in compensation! Please pray for effective communication in Israel, especially when the topic of discussion includes religious concerns.
