Although the drought in Israel continues to threaten the Sea of Galilee (Lake Kinneret), this week has seen an outstanding addition of water from precipitation to the lake. Record snowfall from a storm system that is coming to its end has left about 3 feet of snow on Mt. Hermon, and left enough water in Israel’s streams to cause an increase of 8 inches in the water level of Lake Kinneret in just two days! At the peak of the water flow, some streams were putting as much as 26,000 gallons of water into the lake per second, a five year high. Please continue to pray with us for restoration of Israel’s water resources as we head into 2019.
