Shalom and greetings from Jerusalem!

At the end of September, we in Israel were blessed to celebrate the LORD’s appointed Feast of Trumpets! This holiday, also commonly known as “Rosh Hashana”, is actually commanded by God to the children of Israel and their descendants for generations (Leviticus 23, Numbers 29). This holiday is the most important holiday for the Jewish people, second only to Passover. Therefore, Jewish people all over the world observe it in synagogues and in their homes together with family and friends.

In Israel, this holiday is usually accompanied by an abundantly festive meal with extended family & friends, complete with well wishes and blessings for a “sweet” year ahead. For families who are struggling financially, however, this holiday can be quite stressful with the added pressure of providing for such a meal. This is where Hope for Israel and YOU come in!

This year, we were able to bless close to 500 families with significant grocery vouchers so that they could celebrate this feast in abundance! These families came from all parts of Israeli society — believers, non-believers, soldiers, single parents. We received a very touching note from a single mother of two boys:

I am still in shock! No one has ever thought to help me, even when everyone knew how much I was struggling. You have no idea how much I appreciate what you’ve done for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I am always so grateful to be part of this amazing project, and thank you for partaking in it as well! It is such a joy to see families receive this as a blessing from the LORD.

Thank you for supporting our ministry and partnering with us to bless the people of Israel. We have initiated this project for many years now, and it touches me anew every time we are able to bless the people of Israel in His name. May the LORD continue to strengthen this partnership, and may you know His abundant blessing in your lives! Shana tova!

Gratefully yours,
