Shalom and blessings from Jerusalem!
Shalom and greetings from Jerusalem! Last month, we celebrated the wonderful season of Passover, which is one of two major holidays for the Jewish throughout the world. For Israelis, however, it holds even more significance as we are able to celebrate the LORD’s Passover in the Land of Promise, which He gave to us as an inheritance thousands of years ago!
Passover is a time for families and friends to gather around a festive table, remembering God’s miraculous deliverance of the children of Israel from slavery in Egypt. It is also a time to celebrate the LORD’s faithfulness with a delicious traditional meal, full of dishes that reflect the various cultures from which the Jewish people have emerged over the past centuries! But this can also be a time of stress for families who are struggling to meet their basic needs. We initiated “Operation Hesed” over 10 years ago as a response to this need! Because of your partnership with Hope for Israel, we were able to bless around 500 families — believers and non-believers, alike — with grocery vouchers of various amounts, so that they could celebrate the Passover in abundance.
We received many phone calls and text messages from people who were so thankful for the gift. One family wrote, “Todah rabah! Thank you for thinking of us during the holiday season! May you continue to be abundantly blessed!” It brings me so much joy to see how people in the land reap the blessing that you are sowing into them. We truly could not continue our work without you, and I am humbled by your generous giving to Hope for Israel.
Thank you for entrusting your love offering to Hope for Israel as we continue to bless the people of Israel. We are grateful that you have partnered with us in our effort! May the Lord continue to strengthen this partnership, and may you know His abundant blessing in your lives!
