It’s a problem in many nations, but Israel has some of the most congested roads in the developed world and its getting worse. This past year saw a huge jump in the economy thanks to an unusually high number of car purchases. Normally such a boost to the economy would be welcome but in the case of Israel, a boost to the economy from car purchases also means worsening an already problematic traffic situation, which ultimately hurts the economy in Israel.
