Since the Jerusalem Law was passed by the Knesset in 1980, declaring all of Jerusalem to be the capital of Israel, there has been no embassy in Jerusalem. After the Jerusalem Law was passed 16 nations pulled their embassies out of Jerusalem as a sign of disagreement with the new legislation. Today, thanks to the boldness of the USA, other nations are doing what they’ve known to be right for some time now. Following Sunday’s US embassy move, Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales is here in Israel today to announce the reopening of the Guatemalan embassy here in Jerusalem. Please pray that God will bless the Guatemalan people for this show of support for Israel and that others will follow suit in the coming weeks and months.
