A speech by the Syrian representative at the ongoing United Nations General Assembly suggests that it is important for Israel to receive international recognition of its sovereignty in the Golan Heights and soon. One thing the Muslim world has done time and time again with Israel is that they try to paint a picture of Israel as an occupier of land that doesn’t belong to Israel. In reality, the Golan Heights is not occupied but is fully Israeli and fully under Israeli sovereignty.
