Recognition as Jews

According to data released by Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics, the country’s population grew by 173,600 people last year. There was a net surplus of 32,600 new immigrants (deducting those who emigrated). Only 39% of the Jewish immigrants to Israel are recognized as Jews by the religious authorities responsible for officiating marriages and the like. Please pray for those affected by this discrimination and for righteous policies to be enacted in the government that allow Jews to be recognized as Jewish no matter how much they differ from the religious authorities in Israel.
