Pfizer’s antiviral COVID pill is set to arrive in Israel today. Israel contracted with the pharmaceutical giant to receive 100,000 doses of the pill. Due to the waning effectiveness of the vaccines, Israel is seeking other ways to combat serious illness brought on by COVID. Israeli officials say they believe the treatment will be a “game-changer” as the country grapples with the highly infectious Omicron variant. Israel has seen over 3,000 new infections per day, which is the highest it has been in months. Please continue to pray for wisdom for Israeli government and health officials as they battle the fifth wave of the virus. Please also pray that those who are infected will heal.
