Netanyahu to appoint Yisrael Katz as acting foreign minister

PM Netanyahu is expected to appoint current Transportation Minister, Yisrael Katz, as Israel’s interim Foreign Minister. This move comes in response to an NGO’s petitioning of the High Court over the excessive number of portfolios that PM Netanyahu currently holds. Many Israelis see this as a positive step, since Netanyahu has been seen as holding too much power in the government, and refusing to allow others to hold important positions, such as the foreign minister and defense minister. Please pray for a favorable transition for MK Katz, and that he will be able to affect positive change in Israel’s relations with foreign countries.
