Assad Threatens ‘Retaliation’ Against Israel: Syrian President Bashar Assad told the British newspaper, The Sunday Times, that Syria always retaliates against Israel even if it is not “announced” and implied that Israel knows what he means. He said that he will retaliate against Israel’s bombing of a research facility in Syria. Assad refused to discuss whether Syria is moving chemical weapons’ stockpiles. He also warned the west against arming the rebels. Please pray for protection over Israel and over Israelis worldwide from such “retaliation.” Please also pray for innocent Syrians who are caught in the middle of a bloody conflict. Pray that they would know the comfort of the true Messiah. Lastly, please pray for believers in the region to be a source of strength and stability in this time of instability. Extension Given to Form Government: Negotiations are continuing in the formation of the new Israeli government. These negotiations have been very heated as the main parties cannot agree on crucial issues, such as whether the religious Jews should be required to serve in the army. This deadlock has made it nearly impossible to move forward and form a coalition between several parties. Please pray for wisdom to be given to the leaders and to Netanyahu as a coalition is formed. Please pray that this new coalition would be willing to turn to God and would also have their eyes opened. Lastly, please pray that whoever the leaders are, that the new government would create an environment conducive to many in the land coming to faith. For more, see Negotiations Extension
Gaza Gunmen Fire on IDF Vehicle: Gunmen from Gaza fired on an IDF officer’s vehicle patrolling the Gaza border. This comes after several months of calm along the border. No one was injured but the vehicle was damaged. There were also riots along the border in which Palestinians threw stones and firebombs prompting the IDF to fire and injure 3 Palestinians. Please pray for calm to continue with Gaza and that there would not be a return to conflict. Please also intercede for an eventual resolution to the situation in Gaza and that the hold of Islam would be loosened over the Gazan people. For more, see Gunmen Fire From Gaza
Please continue to pray for the Body of Messiah in Israel as Israel is facing uncertain times; please pray we will be a great source of blessing to all Israel and that through our witness, many in Israel will come to know their Messiah. Please pray for strength, courage, gentleness, and boldness in our witness to our neighbors who do not yet know Yeshua.
Thank you for praying and standing with Israel! Shevuah Tov…
