Israel will begin exporting gas to Egypt soon as part of a $15 billion deal signed last year to provide 64 billion cubic meters of gas over a 10-year period that will help turn Egypt into a regional energy hub. At first, the gas will come from Israel’s Tamar field. Later this year, the larger gas field known as Leviathan is set to be operational and that too will supply gas for export to Egypt. As Israel continues to enter into business deals with neighboring countries, many see Israel growing increasingly favored by countries in the Middle East as other Middle Eastern countries distance themselves increasingly from Iran and Turkey. Please pray that these business deals will indeed lead to improved relations between Israel and her Middle Eastern neighbors. Please also pray for success of these business ventures.
