Iran announced it will adhere to the Olympic regulations and compete against athletes of any other country. Contrary to Iran’s practice over the years, and for the first time, Iranians will face Israelis in Judo competitions. This is a significant change in Iranian policy towards Israeli athletes. In the past, Iranian athletes would refuse to compete against Israeli athletes, choosing to forfeit matches instead. Please pray that this positive move will extend to other areas of Iranian-Israeli relations. Please also pray for a good attitude of sportsmanship for both Iranian and Israeli athletes in the upcoming Olympic trials.
